The year 2001 brought on quite a big
change in the Warhawks program. In March 2001 the Warhawks moved
their housing facility, 'The NEST, from Enon to Springfield. The decision to
move 'The NEST, from Enon
(where it had been located since 1994) , was a very difficult one.Enon had
been very good to the Warhawks
and "The 'NEST was full of many wonderful memories of championship teams.
'The Nest, as it is known to the Warhawks and the Springfield community, is
now located at 311 West North
Street in Springfield. 'The new Nest is a12, 000 square foot building. It
features a military stlye bunk area
with 22 beds, a full size kitchen (with 2 stoves, three refrigerators and
two freezers), there are 2 locker
rooms (with 5 showers, 4 toilets, 2 washers and 2 dryers), a rec room (with
a big screen tv, a pool table,
an air hockey table, a fooseball table and a new a ping pong table).'The
NEST is also equipped with 2 central
air conditioning units.
